Safeguarding Commitment

Safeguarding is non-negotiable

Child protection sits at the centre of school life at MGIS. This page sets out our commitment in public — and exactly how to raise a concern.

Our commitment

Our culture statement puts it plainly: "Child protection and staff safety are non-negotiable priorities." That sentence is not an aspiration for us — it is a condition of everything else the school does. Learning, sport, worship and friendship all rest on children being safe.

The same statement opens with the promise that shapes how we treat every person on campus: every individual is valued, supported and nurtured. That applies to every child, of every age, of every nationality and every faith — and to the staff and parents who care for them.

How school life is governed

A clear, fair code of conduct governs life at MGIS, for students and staff alike. Expectations are known, boundaries are consistent, and adults are accountable for the way they work with children. We believe structure is a form of care: children flourish where the rules that protect them are visible and fairly applied.

Raising a concern

Any parent, student or staff member may raise a safeguarding concern, at any time, directly with Vivian Takyi-Mensah, Head of School:

You do not need to be certain before you speak. If something worries you, tell us — every concern is heard, and it is heard at the top of the school.

The full policy

Our full child-protection policy forms part of the Student-Parent Handbook, which is made available to every enrolled family. Prospective families who would like to discuss safeguarding before applying are warmly invited to ask — write to info@morningloryinternational.com.
