The department

Where school begins gently, and well

Here at MGIS, we seek to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment that meets the needs of each individual child — building the firm foundation needed for his or her future academic journey.

Our programme is a blend of the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and the Scholastic Early Childhood Program, incorporating Jolly Phonics language techniques — a combination that prepares our learners for the Cambridge Assessment International and Pearson Edexcel curriculum from Year 1. We provide clear instruction in early language, reading and maths skills by combining child-centred explorations with teacher-guided supervision.

Our experienced staff are ready to give the little ones their best learning experience — with beautiful memories to hold on to throughout their lives.

"A caring and stimulating learning environment that meets the needs of each individual child."

What comes next

From Year 1 into Primary

Children who finish Year 1 with us move into the Primary department at Year 2, where French joins the timetable and the Cambridge and Edexcel route begins in earnest. The transition happens inside one school, with teachers who already know your child.

Primary, Years 2–6

One school, five stages — Pre-Kindergarten to Year 13, without changing school.
