Parents Portal
Home and school, in step
MGIS keeps six channels open to parents and seven ways to meet us. Here is how each one works — and where your InfoView gBook login fits in.
Communication channels
How the school reaches you
Six channels, each with a job. Urgent news travels fastest; the detail follows in writing.
| Channel | How it works |
|---|---|
| Emergency SMS Alert System | Critical and emergency messages by text, followed by the detail via email, letter or the website. |
| MGIS Website | Each department has its own page; letters, newsletters and updates are published periodically. |
| InfoView gBook | Reports, notifications and student feedback, with a mobile app. Logins are issued by the school office. |
| Departmental letters and notifications by broadcast. One-way — parents cannot reply; to discuss something, book an appointment with the Head of Department. | |
| Letters | Sent home via students or through the electronic platforms. |
| YouTube | School events on the official channel. A written opt-out is available for families who prefer their child's name and photographs not to appear. |
"We are aware that a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child's education."
