The shape of the year
The academic year runs from September to June in three terms, with external examinations threaded through each one.

Term 1 — September to December
The year opens in September. The November examination session — one of the school's two annual Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel sessions — falls within the term, which closes with the school's Christmas events in December.

Term 2 — January to March
Teaching resumes in January. In February, Years 4 and 5 and Years 7 and 8 sit the International Schools Assessment (ISA) — an ACER examination whose diagnostic reports help us make informed learning plans for each individual learner.

Term 3 — April to June
April brings the Cambridge Checkpoints: Primary Checkpoint for Year 6 and Lower Secondary Checkpoint for Year 9, each in English, Mathematics and Science. The June examination session completes the year.
